Being an impulsive person can lead you to wrong decisions that you may regret in the future, but you can also make the best decisions of your life , it depends on how lucky you are.
Being an over thinker can make you doubt on everything and trust noone. You may loose many opportunities for not taking risks. 
I think you should be both, you should balance out these two ways of acting. I strongly believe you shouldn't overthink about what happens because you risk getting doubts about everything.

When i need to do something i usually prefer to overthink because it helps you to plain  your action better but it can also make you more confused.in the other side if you are too impulsive you have more possibilities to maki bad choices because you don't know very good what are you doing.

These are two qualities everyone can easily show, i think that being too impulsive is sometimes good but almost the rest of the time is a negative thing.
