Logic Gates are used in different digital circuits to execute logical operation. Nearly every digital devices we use on a daily basis contains logic gates. In the architecture of our laptops, phones, memory devices and tablets, logic gates are used. Compound logic are often employed in circuits design because their construction using MOSFETs is simpler and more efficient than the sum of the individual gates. Logical gates are used to control the flow of information based on certain condition, much like how a real gate can control the flow of people or vehicle. For instance, an AND gate will only allow information to pass through if both of its inputs are true.
