Hi I’m Seri, and I suffer from severe writers block. When I have to write large essays or long winded stories for my college courses I tend to get stuck at the beginning. Struggling to find a muse and any kind of creative ideas to write about when I’m forced to write about specific topics. So I just stay in procrastination station till I can literally force myself to think of something to write by my due date so I don’t fail. I usually fill up on caffeine, hand write any ideas I have and then piece them together like a puzzle into legible paragraphs to form essays and novels. It’s a chaotic process but it seems to work for me, hasn’t failed me yet.

“Shitty First Drafts”

Very few writers really know what they are doing until they’ve done it.

That quote right there resonated with me on a deep level because I swear I could read something a thousand times and not know a thing about the topic. But the moment I do something myself , I know it for life. With writing I’ve never been one to write multiple drafts, I’m kind of a one and done kind of writer. But now I realize the aspect and importance of having multiple drafts to revise and manipulate into a well structured and balanced final narrative. For this class I will at the minimum attempt to have at a first draft and a final draft to submit, if not three.

I remember blogging from the early 2000s when I was younger and multiple movies came out. Everyone who was anyone had some kind of blogging journal because it was the “It” thing. Ughhhhh I think I just cringed and shivered a little bit. I do remember a movie with Hilary Duff where she had this anonymous journal blog and It was super cute and full of personality. I don’t mind certain blogs , they’re just formats that people utilize for their voice to be heard some way or another. Which I completely respect, blogs are a nice way to see people’s personalities and perspectives. I’ve appreciated this classes blogs so far.
