• Provide my students with different choices of instruction. Whether that might be challenging them, rewarding them, or other task, you should always try and give your students a choice.

• Includes all of my students interest in the lessons and activities in class that is meaningful and relevant to them.

Check Point 7.3: Minimize threats and distractions

• As a teacher, I need to create a safe space for my students. To do this, I meet my students needs and provide for them and create an attentive learning environment so my students don't get distracted, so that I can foster and support their learning.

Check Point 1.1: Offer ways of customizing the display of information

• I need to display information in a variety of flexible formats to help meet a students learning needs. Some examples may include varying the size of text, images, graphs, or other visuals, using different colors for emphasis, changing the speed of videos, and more.

Check Point 1.2: Offer alternatives for auditory information

• I need to provide alternative methods of teaching for students that may have a hearing disability or memory disabilities. Some examples of what I can do is to provide captions on videos, provide visuals, transcripts, provide ASL, and other interpretations.

Check Point 1.3: Offer alternatives for visual information

• For students that have visual disabilities, I need to provide an alternative instruction for them to ensure they have equal access to information like the rest of the students. To do this I can provide descriptions for all videos and other visuals, touch equivalents, physical objects to interact with, and other cues.

Check Point 4.1: Vary the methods for response and navigation

• I need to provide alternatives for means of response, selection and composition, so that students can easily navigate information and activities. To do this I can provide alternatives for reading rates, timing speed, and other motor actions in instructional materials/technologies. I can also provide different materials for responding sections like different sized pens/markers. Lastly, I can provide different keyboards for them that have different controls.

  
  

Check Point 4.2: Optimize access to tools and assistive technologies

• I need to provide support to use the tool effectively and assure that the assistive technology works and is accessible. To do this, I can provide alternative keyboard commands for mouse actions, provide access to different keyboards, and customize overlays for touch screens.
