The aspects about the artwork that appealed to me were the aesthetics and the reaction of the people. I selected this artwork because I like how this made me feel and I really like how it looks. This work of art should be considered ART because it falls under all 3 criteria-it has the intentions of making the spectator feel something, the quality of the work is amazing, and it elicits a response from spectators.

Personally, I interpret the artwork in many different ways. The message it sends could possibly be, you have all of the creativity in the world but it means nothing if you don't use it to your full capability. Or it could mean that art is so confined and under appreciated that artist are not allowed to create what they feel. They view the world around them as colorful and inspiring. You could also look at this painting in a literally meaning which is that the artist doesn't have any paintbrushes, they only have their hands. This should be considered art because its intentions were to provoke emotion in the audience. This isn't something someone just threw together. It was well thought out. The quality of the work is immaculate. It's absolutely beautiful. The painting represents the scene of The Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples, as it is told in the Gospel of John, 13:21. Leonardo has depicted the consternation that occurred among the Twelve Disciples when Jesus announced that one of them would betray him. The Last Supper specifically portrays the reaction given by each apostle when Jesus said one of them would betray him. All twelve apostles have different reactions to the news, with various degrees of anger and shock. This should be considered art because the quality of the painting is excellent, and the artist's intentions is to give the expressions of each disciple ultimately giving away the one that will betray him.
