Strengths of the population dose methodology for community health promotion include dose being viewed as a guiding principle for strategic development. It is a framework that provides a lens through strategies that can be assessed and prioritized in light of overarching initiative goals. In Kuo et. al., 2018, it provides an example how dose helped with early decision making for a coordinators strategies for their program. The process helped coordinators decide the value or need to conduct population-level surveys and what questions were necessary. If the dose-response was not high enough to have realistic exceptions of the population behavior change they would have looked at evaluation measure that would assess impact. The coordinators focused on specific constructs including knowledge, attitude, and beliefs for short term goal and health food consumption for medium goals.

What is Population Dose Methodology?
What are key elements?

Population dose methodology is oftentimes called just dose. It assists researchers with understanding multifactorial population-level strategies with behaviors at this same level. The key elements of population dose methodology are dose (as a product of reach, meaning people receiving the information divided by the target population) and strength (size of the effect).
