Romeo discovered Juliet in the tomb, felt devastated and decided to take his own life by drinking poison. Suddenly, just before he took his own life, Rosaline, his former love, appeared. She had feelings for Romeo and had heard about his passionate love for her, so she decided to talk to him, not knowing about his relationship with Juliet, thinking the feelings were mutual. She followed Romeo without him noticing and ended up witnessing Romeo's suicide attempt, eventually preventing his death. Rosaline was shocked and did not allow Romeo to drink the poison until she learned the truth. Therefore, Juliet finally woke up. Romeo and Juliet were ecstatic. Finally, Juliet explained the priest's plan to both Romeo and Rosaline, and the lovers planned to follow it, leaving Verona together. Romeo apologised to Rosaline for the confusion and the two lovers thanked her for saving them. Rosaline left the place happy that she had helped the couple fulfil the plan, but disappointed as she had ended up alone, having lost the opportunity to confess her feelings to Romeo.
