It took time for them to figure this out because it is so easily to pin point it as shyness.  The children get stuck and anxious but is even harder for adults around them to notice. Once adults or people around them also get uncomfortable a reaction is to ask more questions which can be more harmful. With parents who will then answer for him ends the moment but creates a cycle that needs to be broken. In this video we learn how the parents handle the situation. S gave a personal example of a child she worked with. This intrigued me to understand what really is happening (especially because I am a chatter box). I learned that this condition is not something to do with shyness but rather anxiety.
