Notational analysis is effective especially after a competitive round. This is because you are able to note down your stats within that round and able to identify the areas of your game which let you down so you are able to make a plan around these areas to develop them.

This is just as effective during practice by getting your swing videoed and make notes on what you see and compare it to a previous swing video to see if you have made progress and see what you can do to help you along with this process. To make this more effective get more than one person to make notes on the swing video and compare notes once you have gone through.
C Carling et al. (2008)
what is notational analysis. what needs to happen so its effective.(26)
