I'll be running IBED Cat 3 Multilingualism workshop this time. I'm a passionate language learner and educator, embracing multilingualism is rooted deeply in my educational philosophy and practices.

My workshop "PIE" key ingredients: Practicality, Innovation, Empowerment. I want my participants to have practical takeaways, getting inspired and ready to innovate in their practice, and feeling empowered by each other. 💖

Drawing from my background in Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) Coaching, systems thinking, and change management, I partner with schools and educators across the Asia Pacific region to foster environments where both students and staff can thrive. Whether I'm facilitating IB workshops, leading Compass Education sessions, or implementing Trust-Based Observations, or leading my own From Vision to Impact consultancy, my focus remains on building genuine connections that drive meaningful change.

As a consultant, coach, and speaker, I help educational communities create more compassionate and inclusive systems. My approach combines strategic thinking with deep empathy, supporting leaders and institutions in achieving exceptional results while nurturing the human relationships at the heart of learning. I have just added Coaching Education to my toolkit and will be teaching ICF ACC Coaching to Educational Leaders!

I am not sure whether I have interesting enough things to share here! If I had to think of one thing, then it would be this; I call 3 different countries my home - the UK, South Korea and New Zealand.

Greetings everyone. I very much look forward to working with such talented and experienced colleagues. My name is Christopher and I am currently the Head of Academics at UWC Changshu, in Suzhou, China.

In general, I am passionate about international mindedness and global citizenship, and how we support students in their journey navigating diverse cultural and interpersonal perspectives. On a personal note, I like reading, lifting heavy objects, and cycling in nature.

I would like participants to leave with a sense of excitement to apply the insights they encountered in the workshop within the opportunities of thier own context.

Hello from Indonesia! My name is Richel, and I’m currently working as a vice principal and PYP coordinator at BINUS SCHOOL Surabaya.

One interesting thing about me is that I used to be left-handed, but now I’m right-handed. My mother, a former teacher, asked me to draw circles every night using my right hand when I was a child. As a result, my right hand is now stronger than my left hand when it comes to writing. However, when playing basketball, I shoot the ball using my left hand.

Another interesting thing about me is that I’m an IB parent. My three children started their IB journey when they were three years old. Two of my children are now IB alumni. My youngest is in MYP.

“Connected”, “impact”, and “journey” are some of the words I am hoping that fellow educators would say as they leave our workshop.

I'll be leading the Language and Literature Cat 1 workshop. I first started my teaching career in the UK as an MFL teacher. I have also worked in France, China and finally Singapore where I have lived for the last 13 years. I currently teach at UWCSEA.

I'm looking forward to leading this workshop (the smallest online workshop I've ever led) as I really enjoy engaging with the IB community. I often leave energised and with plenty of new ideas myself :-)

My home country is KENYA , an East African Country, known for producing great long distance runners - including marathon 😜 It has just occurred to me that I am in my 18th year, (since 2007), as a DP examiner! 

I really like my participants to have a true sense of ‘empathy in education’ not only when they leave my workshop but also in our day to day interaction with the people that we educate - especially in these interesting times that we live in.

Hello everyone,

I’m excited to be leading the Reflective Project workshop. Over the past 15 years, I’ve had the opportunity to teach Business Management and Economics across the IB continuum. I currently serve as the IBDP Business Management and Extended Essay Coordinator at Genesis Global School, as well as a CP Business Administration teacher and Reflective Project supervisor.

In addition to teaching, I’ve led workshops for teachers within my school community and contributed as an IBEN Workshop Leader and examiner for both Business Management and Extended Essays. I'm passionate about mentoring students through reflective and interdisciplinary learning, encouraging them to think critically and apply their knowledge in real-world contexts.

I’m looking forward to meaningful conversations and collaboration in this workshop. I always leave these sessions inspired, with fresh ideas and renewed energy for the work we do :-)

I am Manju Nair, the facilitator for this workshop. I have worked in three schools as the head of PYP and PYP Coordinator. Currently I am looking for whole school leadership opportunities, and while looking around I am focusing on developing and delivering workshops, doing school visits and consulting with schools - as an IBEN and also as an independent CBCI trainer and coach.

I am particularly looking forward to this workshop because I have participants from all the three regions of the IB and learning about their contexts and thinking through building learning communities in their settings should be very interesting. I really hope the participants can take things away that they can immediately use in their schools, at the same time I hope there will be time to think through some of the more enduring concepts of developing a learning community. Three words - relationships, collaborative, supportive.

I consider myself a very progressive educator, learner centric, constructivist education comes almost intuitively to me. In fact I chose to become an educator only after I realised that these progressive pathways are available. If I were to be a traditional educator I would not have chosen this field, and if even I did I would not have lasted this long.

I am also a mother of two and an IB parent. My husband and I have made Singapore our home, our parlimentary elections are going to be held very soon :-).

This is Hung-Li from Taipei, and I’ll be leading the TOK for Subject Teachers Category 3 workshop. Since this is a small group with participants from a range of DP subjects, I hope our time together will feel supportive, transferable, and fulfilling - three key words I’d love for you to keep in mind as we reflect on the experience.

I'm Amy, and I'll be leading the DP Chinese B Cat 2 workshop. I was born and raised in Shanghai, and I’m currently working at ESF Discovery College in Hong Kong. I enjoy reading, traveling, and photography. Exploring the unknown and delving into new theories has also been one of my lifelong passions.

I hope that my workshop participants will gain the motivation and skills to support their ongoing learning throughout these three days. By the end of the workshop, I would like them to reflect on their experience through three key words: "inspiring, transferable, and connected."
