         <description><![CDATA[<p>In reviewing the information, one statement that stood out to me was this: Not attending to your own self-care is actually unethical. The patients no longer have a healthy practitioner caring for them (Green Cross Academy of Traumatology, n.d.). In addition, the practitioner has actually neglected their own mental well being, which is exactly what people seek them for. The irony. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Self-Care Plan</p><p>The following include steps or tips to help protect myself from burnout and compassion fatigue and serve my patients to the best of my abilities. </p><ol><li><p>My faith is my strong foundation and is what helps me to stay anchored despite the circumstance I am in.</p></li><li><p>While respecting confidentiality, talking to others simply about how one is feeling can help to deal with the stresses of this career.  It's important to be able to talk through these feelings with trusted people.</p></li><li><p>Even now, exercise is a major part of my triangle balance in life. This includes my mind, body, and soul.  Exercise helps me to relieve my stress and frustrations in a healthy way. It also helps to maintain a healthy life style, physically.</p></li><li><p>Setting boundaries for me is essential.  My personality lends itself to over working and lacking the ability to separate work from home. Hence, setting clear boundaries for myself will limit issues that may arise from having no boundaries. </p></li></ol>]]></description>
