This story/ folktale is from indonesia. There was a woman that had an evil step sister and step mom. She had to do everything that they told her to do. When she was at the river washing clothes, her step mom's favorite scarf fell in the river. She went to look for it and saw that an old lady found it. She told the old lady if she can have it, the old lady told her that she could get it but she had to clean her house. The woman cleaned the house and the old lady told her to choose two pumpkins a big one and a small one. She chose the small one. When she got home an opened it there was precious jewelry inside the pumpkin. Her step mother saw and took them away from her, and told her other daughter to look for the old lady to get another pumpkin. The evil sister went looking for the old lady, so she threw a scarf in the river and went looking for her and when she found her, the old lady told her the same conditions as the other woman. As soon as the old lady left she took the big pumpkin and left running. She opened the pumpkin in the woods because she wanted it all for her but a snake came out of it and bit her and killed her.

The location of the video from the folktale is from indonesia.
The class reacted really surprised because in the video the sister got bitten by a snake because she wanted everything and she died. 
My strength of doing this video is that I take part in most of the speaking on the video and the weakness is that I was not speaking loud enough.

This folktale matters to me because it teaches you a lesson that not to take things for granted and to to be humble.

This folktale matters to the people around me because they will probably take that lesson to not make a mistake like her or in a different way.

In this book it tells me that During the second World War, lives for people were really hard. It was really hard because in the book the little girls family is poor and they barely have money for their food and to give for their children. The little girl is bullied by her siblings because her siblings think that she was the cause of their mother's death. She tries really hard in school because her father complements her from being a good student in school. What I learned about my World region is that they eat a lot of rice and that there is a lot of people that are poor in East Asia. In the book the family has like a sort of religion that in the family, the boys have to get a haircut and not the one that they want. They have to get a haircut that they are bald. They get mad at their father and their stepmom because one of the boys gets a haircut that he wants and they get mad because they want their parents to be equal and give them their haircut choice.

I kind of liked it because we got some time in practice our presentation skills and that helps us for future projects that we have to do. I liked it because it was a project for each world region group and everyone participated on it. I also liked it because I got to spend some time and get to know people that I did not really know that well. What I learned about my world region is that the people there wear a lot of traditional clothes because they are trying to bring the old culture back and so that other people can have an image of what the old clothes used to look like. The thing that I would do differently is to participate more during the presentation because I fell that I could have done better. Before the project it was a waste of time, that whayu are we doing this, and I thought that we had a lot of things that we had to do for a small amount of time. During the presentation I was really nervous but when I started greeting people I did not get nervous anymore and I got over it and was not that nervous anymore. After the presentation I was saying to myself that it was not that bad and why was I so nervous because it was not a big of a deal. But overall it was a fun and good project to do.
