It’s scary not knowing what going to happen to you later on in life. At any moment, you could die or someone that you know could get hurt badly. It’s best just to live life to the fullest and, make good decisions to further your life. We recently just had an assignment about Abigail Adams's letter where she was advising her son to make good decisions because only he is in charge of his life and I want to live by that motto. However, even if you make good decisions, there will be wins and losses. Overall, I suggest questioning your assumptions, trusting yourself, staying balanced, and talking to someone you trust to overcome the fear of the unknown.

Three things from the ted talk that resonated with me are that Seun Adigun is an African American Olympic athlete. While she was competing she was studying to get her doctorate and bachelorette. She also talks about taking many risks to get to where she is today.

When I encounter challenges, I get frustrated. The first thing I do is think of possible ways I can manipulate the situation to go my way or to achieve my ideal result. I try to find new ways to overcome the task if I've failed more than once.

Oftentimes when I experience the skin prickling encounter of fear, I become less independent. When fear knocks on my brains front door, and asks to come in, I tend to ask for everyone's support. I need guidance, confidence, and the feeling of not being alone in order to step into the unknown darkness that fear beholds. If I am alone, I back out. I can't handle it, and choose the easier way in life.

3 things learned from the Ted Talk:
Accept that you will fail. You won't always succeed, and failure is a place for you to learn and start again.

Don't rush your goals, take the necessary steps and execute with caution and dignity. This will make you appreciate your decisions and choices.

Never give up. No matter how long it will take or how much effort you put in. No matter how much failure you encounter, with enough patience and dedication your goals will come true.

I would also try to keep an optimistic attitude to avoid scaring myself away from what I have to do.

During my childhood, I'd stay away from anything that felt unfamiliar to me. Clinging to someone close to me. But as I got older and faced more of the unknown. I've come to the realization that while It may be unknown to me, there is at least one person on earth that has conquered that challenge. So most of the time, I either face the unknown without question or I make sure that I am well equipped to conquer the unknown.

Usually, when I encounter the unknown, I would procrastinate and try to push it farther and farther away because I was scared of what the outcome would be like. But now I have learned to just go headfirst into the unknown and go just go for it with no regrets. But if you are disappointed with the results don't let it bring you down but rather learn from your mistakes and try again another time.

Fear is one of those things in life that you cannot control, but there are ways to cope with it. A way that I conquer my fears especially if these are fears of the unknown, is to take a moment with myself and analyze the situation and determine if this fear is reasonable.

In my personal opinion the way i face my challenges is not really putting that much interest in them, yes sometimes i worry about the smallest things and don´t thing about the ones that are actually important but that´s because if i think too much about my problems i get stressed and it makes me be in a bad mood throughout the whole day which is what i try not to do. But im starting to think more about my problems and how to encounter them without getting stressed or having to overthink every little thing i do.

I don't necessarily believe that the fear of the unknown is something to be conquered. Fear itself is baked into our DNA and despite our best efforts we will never know everything. There will always be something unknown to us and fear will just be a natural byproduct of it. With fear can come intrigue and curiosity for the world around us. Without it there would be a disinterest and a lack of interesting perspectives on different subjects. It is best to embrace the fear, "Why do I feel this way?" is a question that could be interesting to reflect upon but never turn your head away from the unknown. It can help us grow as people and maybe better understand each other as people.

When I come across challenges I sometimes shutdown and give up because I fear that I will fail so I stop myself from trying which can be really dishonest and I see the effect it had on other people when I didn't try. But now as I see it fearing the unknown can be really fun and wild because you never know what your getting yourself into so I say live on the edge.
