Within a short time we lost a young lady to a wonderful parent to breast cancer, a 5th grade baby to bone cancer and a young alum about to graduate college to Leukemia. I proudly walked the Philly 3Day and find ways to support and remember all how have left us. Very recently one of my former, and beloved students lost a fight with addiction. Every day I am reminded how important it is to be a model in this world and look to the power of LOVE when we can!

I am honored to be the Leader of one of PA's most outstanding Charter Schools. I have worked at the school for over seventeen years and been a leader here for over eleven years. Our population is from ALL over PA. We have NO selection criteria and our doors are open to all students of all color, creed, academic standing and need... and they all are made to feel successful in their own right. I have chosen CHOICE as my Mission in Education and I am impressed every day by how hard my staff work for their students.

I love to be on the move. I try to encourage my family to enjoy the outdoors and LIFE. This is a color run we did with friends a few years ago. This year I ran Broad Street for the first time!

Favorite things to do

My kids LOVE NYC. This was their first Broadway show in 2014. They have both since seen Wicked, and the older of the two recently saw Dear Evan Hansen. They are both performed in a musical together in October. I am so glad they have caught the contagious love of theater!

I am an aunt to three, a daughter, a mother to two, a wife, and a sister! It is not often that we are ALL together and this was a rare moment celebrating my dad's 70th Birthday a few years ago.

My husband was active duty for several years when we were first married. This opened my eyes to MANY aspects of life that I had not yet experienced. Now living with a Vet presents its own challenges and amazing honors. This will always be a present part of our lives.

Education

My own experiences in education have involved Parochial Education and Public Education.

I went to a Catholic School here, in Stirling NJ from 3rd-8th grade, it has since been closed. I later went to Immaculata High School in Sommerville, NJ. My Undergrad was at Bloomsburg University and I received my Master's Degree from Nova Southeastern University.
