The Miscalculations of Lightning Girl by Stacy McAnulty I am interested in it because the main conflict is that a girl got struck by lighting and that seems like a start to new conflicts and I like that kind of book. I also would like to read is Breakout by Kate Messner, because the concept of this book interests me because it is based off of a prison break that happened in real life. Another book I would like to read this year is, Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie by David Lubar. I want to read this because it is a humorous fiction book and I really like that that genre.

Mind Work:
1.) The characters in this book are, Willow, Pattie, Mai, Quang-Ha and Dell Duke.
2.) The different settings in this book are, Dell Duke's office at school, The nail salon/garage, the Gardens of Glenwood (court yard, room #28)
3.) The main conflict in this book is, that Willow's parents passed away and a lot of other conflicts, like not having a permanent situation of living, trying to find the right foster parents for Willow are all part of Willow's parents passing.
4.) I think that the theme in this situation is to make the best out of everything and life and the people you love and who loves you is your family, blood-related or not.

Heart Work:
1.) I can hardly empathize for Willow because I have never gone through anything like what she has with losing her parents because I have both of my parents.
2.) I can empathize for Dell because he was kind-of pushed into a situation that he now realizes was just what he needed in his life.
3.) Sloan: My book was both a window and a mirror for me. I think this because I can see myself in some of the story and other part I can not relate to.

1.) - Window - Something that is definitely a window for me in this book is that Willow does not have any close friends or family members and I can not relate to that because I have a very big family that I am very grateful for.
2.) - Mirror - I can see myself in ways when Willow is interested in so many different things and I think that I am definitely fascinated and interested in lots of things that I see.
