He has owned and operated his practice since 2001 and in that time has built it into one of the state's most complete occupational health practices. Under Leonard Bevill's leadership, Macon Occupational Medicine has received national certification from the National Association of Occupational Health Professionals (NAOHP). It is the first and only practice of its kind in Georgia to earn this designation. Leonard Bevill also has elevated Macon Occupational Medicine into a model of local business success. After receiving the Better Business Bureau's Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics in 2004, the practice earned the Small Business of the Year award from the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce the following year. It became a two-time recipient of that award in 2016 and further stands out as recipient of the Macon Economic Development Commission's Partner in Economic Development award. Mr. Bevill comes to his ownership of Macon Occupational Medicine as the former director of Work Horizons, the occupational medicine facility at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
