I have estimated an approximate time for the production of my radio package. My radio package is called Island Antics and is a adapted and reconstructed desert island discs. This is 4 hours in a professional studio this would cost around £300. The studio I have chosen is audio always which is based in MediacityUk. The equipment that is included in this cost is detailed below. Included in this price is a sound engineer to help the package sound suitable for my target audience.

https://audioalways.com/studiohire/

This is the link to audio always where I have found the prices for the studio hire.
https://audioalways.com/studiohire/radiodays

When I am at Audio Always, I will record my clips several times therefore if one of the clips isn’t how I want it to sound I don’t have to re hire the studio and the interviewee’s.

If someone doesn’t arrive then I must make sure I have a backup interviewee to conduct an interview with. I will record 2 interviews even if the first interview does go to plan, to take away this risk. I will also have a backup presenter who has previously read the script. I will also have a second studio day booked in , incase of errors that may occur.

If any of the equipment doesn't work in the studio, I will have a studio engineer on site to eliminate this risk. For equipment that I am using myself for example the microphone for my interviews for example a microphone, I will have a spare microphone and batteries with me.

To ensure that my target audience are hooked and enjoy my revamped desert island discs I will have a presenter that is the same style of a Radio 1 presenter.
Nick Grimshaw is a current Radio 1 presenter his presenting style is very informal and conversational. We can see this in the following clip
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000267l
Grimshaw presents at the drive time slot were most of his listeners tune in. The audience can relate to him as he is also younger.
I will ensure my presenter is fun friendly and talking about relevant topics for example if it is exam season then the presenter would say "Next up we've got this song by ariana grande to kick off your non stop revision playlist on radio 1".

While having the style suiting a Radio 1 audience there will still be recognisable elements of a desert island disc throughout my radio show.

Did your mum say to you, Callum, one day, mark my words, you’re going to be an artist?
This is a great question or set of question as it gives the interviewee lots of answers to respond with.
5- What was it you saw that so repelled you?
As the interviewee is now comfortable we can ask more hard hitting personal questions and get a good response from them.

I can check these facts with other websites for example wikipedia however these are not always correct as anyone can edit the information posted on it. The best thing i could do to fact check is look for an article from an expert in that area for example radio experts in this instance. I couldn't check the styles of presenters as I had to listen to the styles of presenting myself and compare them. I did have a look on the internet to double check that my findings were correct but i was unable to. In this instance i might fact check with a class associate to see if they had the same findings.
