Social Media pages tell a lot about a person because it explains a lot about someone's life outside of school and their personality.

I believe that colleges viewing your social media is fair. Doing so gives the college a first impression of you and helps them make a conclusion as to whether you are both a responsible and sociable person. Also, a college viewing your social media will not be the only way they get to know you. You also give out information about yourself during interviews, in your resume and in your college applications.

I believe that the process isn't fair because it is important to look at the students GPA and test scores, and it just really isn't when accepting people into college. There is a lot of requirements for different colleges, but none of them have anything to do with your social media or just your life out of school, it shouldn't effect your education in school and your behave in school, not how they act when there not in school. They are just judging us for what we do for our free time, but is different when it comes to education.
