I have lived and worked in Spain for 30 years. I first came here in 1977. I was born in Washington DC but neither of my parents are from there. It is typical in the States to live in places that you were not born in. My father was born in Pennsylvania and my mother was born in Istanbul, Turkey. I have a brother named Rob. He lives near my father and his second wife. They live where the Spanish government used to be when the area belonged to Spain. Today it is Santa Fe, New Mexico. My father will be 93 in May!

Problem in X-108

Two days ago we had a problem in the apartmernt X-108. A shortcut were appeare appeared in an electrical connection.
The user renter/tenant of the apartment looked saw the smoke and called the security people. They could eliminate put out the fire in two minutes.
Everybody are is safe.

I was born in Sabadell but i live in Cerdanyola whith my wife and my sons. My wife is named Sandra and my sons Martí and Marc. I married 12 years ago.
My mother lives in Cerdanyola. My pather father dies died 6 years ago. I have 3 brothers.
Every day at 8:00 morning, i go to Vila. My home is near la UAB, it takes 5 minutes to get to work.
I'm very happy to work in Vila.
I like my work. When you refer to the Vila use THE because in English it is necessary when you specify which Vila... , THE (universtiy) Vila.

My last week

On Wednesday I had a lot of work, because after the English class a heat machine didn't work in the apartment 906. It was a problem because we didn't have empty apartments in the Vila.
On Thursday we had to change the machine quickly because the renter didn't want to be cold. Thursday was a hard day...
On Friday I was very happy, because we had a work dinner! The Vila Universitaria want people who work here to be a good team. The Vila paid a room scape? for the workers of the Vila, and it was a great experience! :

Last week was a complicated week.
Auditory, revisions and check-ins, resident's changes of the flats and I had a terrible cold..
The best day was friday.
Friday we went for dinner with the Vila's worksmates and made a scape? room. We had dinner at a restaurant in Barcelona. We had a fun time. : D

We want to change a heater (HEATING machine) in Edifici Blanc, and we have to re-pair the electrical installation in the hotel.

Yesterday I had a bad day, because we had a problem in the apartments N and P.
The builders HAD to MAKE a SEAL under the toilet. They didn't understand my order and they sealed the PERIMETER.
I argued with their boss and they will - come here to do the work again.

Yersterday I had a lot of work because I want to convert my VHS films inTO digital format.
I watched all my life from my BIRTH to my 10'th birthday.
I hate Spanish cinema...
Today I have a problem, because the renter of one apartment wants a new mattress, because he saYS that the old mattress has something that itchES his skin.
We will change the mattress but we think that his problem - is NOT the mattress.

These weeks are the most complicated of the year. Many residents ends our contract and we have to be made MAKE many revisions in the apartments, more than 100 reviewS planned. THEY Are days of hard work. The maintenance guys will have more repairs these days. : D

- Last Thursday the company Pime finished their installation- and we had a meeting. They explained to me how - the new machines THEY installed WORK.

On Friday I had my last day before my hol-idays, I explained to my partners all the tasks that had to BE finsihED - next week.

- last week I had ho-lidays I walked with my dog, I visited my grand mother, I write WROTE on CD all my old films. I think that I could HAVE this kind of liFE all my life and I could be happy! : D

This week I am so tired, because we had a lot of work.
There are TOO many people that ARE leavING THE Vila. We had to check their apartments and clean-- their plates and glasses (DIRTY DISHES).
And we have to continue with our normal tasks.

On Monday I had a lot of work because we changed the software WHICH controlS the heater of Edifici Blanc. We had a lot of problems but now it's working OK.
On Tuesday we fixed two ap-artments WHICH were LEFT on Monday. We had to paint every wall, because the users were living THERE FOR around two years.
We had to work fast because the new users are coming tomorrow. :D

- Last Thursday and Friday we had to prep-aRE equipment- for the new students that are arriving to the Vila.
At the weekend, I fixed an air CONDITIONER - of my uncle'S. He has an office- appartment whICH HE is renting to different companyIES.
On Sunday, we had a problem with a heater of the Vila's office and we fixed IT on Monday.
The machine had a LEAK of refrigerant. ANTIFREEZE?
Today we have a lot of work, because 70 students are LEAVING the Vila and we have to check their apartments : D

I prepared a plan to do the new installations at 'Easter'. We have to install six air conditioners in three IT rooms in Edifici Blanc.
I sent an e-mail to buy the machines, and I spoke with three installation companies to know which was cheaper.
I think that everything is ready and in one month we are enjoying the machines. :

My family likeS carnival very much so I bought costumes for me and my girlfriend.
We dressed up as grandmothers and it was a good idea, because it was very cold and our bathrobes were the solution. :D

This weekend, we stayed at home, to do various jobs.
For example :
I read ? the bottom of the entrance door, as it touched the ground.
With the many lemons that the tree that we have in the patio of the house gives us. We did Limonchello. : D

I didn't write here - last week because I was on holidays one week ago. I was in London with my parents, my sister, her husband, my girlfriend and me.

The TRIP was very nice because my parents HADN'T travelLED outside of Spain. I think that London is a place where the people speak- very fast English (VERY FAST), and in --other countries people have more paTience to speak with people WHO don’t speak English.

We enjoyed OURSELVES /THE TRIP.. very much with this week because I didn’t remember when was the lasT time that I travelled with my parents and my sister...

It was snowing Sunday and Monday, we didn’t have pictures of thESE days because evErybody had THEIR hands in THEIR pockets. : D

Us recordem que aquest dimecres es farà una nova sortida de l'activitat Migdies al Campus del curs 2017-2018.

Sortida: ruta vermella i bosc de Bellaterra

Dimecres 14 de març

Hora i lloc de sortida: 14h des de la plaça Cívica, davant de la Biblioteca de Comunicació i Hemeroteca General.

Descripció de la ruta

En la sortida d’aquest mes passejarem per l’itinerari vermell de natura i el bosc de Bellaterra, per la zona sud-oest del campus.

Com ja és habitual, sortirem de la plaça Cívica. Anirem cap a la Vila Universitària per a seguir les indicacions de l’itinerari vermell de natura del campus. Quan arribarem a la riera de Can Domènec, creuarem la riera i passejarem pel bosc de Bellaterra, un típic bosc mediterrani de pins i alzines. Després tornarem a enllaçar amb l’itinerari vermell i arribarem a la plaça Cívica per la pineda del darrera de la Facultat de Medicina. En total ens esperen uns 4 km de caminada.

We are looking for someone that wants to live with Nilo (our dog) FOR only four days. HE is a good dog, but Nilo is too big. we MIGHT call a dog- hotel.
We want to go to Jaen. My family are living in Porcuna, a little town of Andalucia. I have two young cousins, and I saw them two years ago. I miss them.
In Porcuna if you buy a beer the bar giveS you a ‘tapa’ a little sandwitch or something to eat, it is free! I love it! : D

When I thought: Spring is coming... yesterday it was 2 degrees at night. We builT a machine in the enter of Edifici Blanc, ITS function is to move air in high pressure and block the cold air outside of the flat.
We spenT a lot of money ON this machine. When we connected IT FOR THE first time, the users called -- me because it was very hot and the machine made noise.
I don't believe it... What do you prefer? In Spain we have a saying (refrán) that says: tits and soup do not fit in your mouth.
I need holidays! (I don't understand the saying! Explain please. :D

I have not written for days, I've been very busy with work.
My vacation well, in three parts.
First work annual review of the electric transformer of Vila 2.
Second, already at home, I work, I change the lighting, from almost the whole house, to LEDs.
Third, and more fun, we went to the campsite. My son and I went fishing.
Another night I made pizza in the wood oven.
