The cell body also called the soma. It is the metabolic "control center", this is also the "manufactoring and recycling plant". The 2nd and 3rd prosses are extended away from the cell body. It recieves signals from other cells through its dendrites. Each neuron only has one axon. The 4th part lies at the axon terminals. They contain the neurotransmitters. "Neurotransmitters are the chemical medium through which signals flow from one neuron to the next at chemical synapses (Tolento & Bedirian, 2019)."
Tolento, J., & Bedirian, R. (2019).

The electric signals are simular in both the action potential and an electronic device. But in the electronic device, the electrical signals occur due to the ions that are electically charged moving along a wire and in the neuron the electrical signal occurs as the ions move across the neurons membrane using a sodium potassium pump (Tolento & Bendirian. 2019).
Tolento, J., & Bedirian, R.

There are two types of cells neurons and glia which are apart of the Central Nervous System. There up to 50 times more glia more than neurons in the CNS. Neurons have 4 different parts to it's structure. Neurons communicate with eachother using their action potential along the axon. The neurotransmission using chemicals across the synapse. The information flows from the chemical synapse to the electrical synapse. The electical synapses are connected by the gap junctions. This permits changes in a neuron's electical properties, causing them to behave as one. The presynaptic neuron is seperated from the post synaptic neuron, called the synaptic cleft. It over comes this gap by acting like a chemical messenger linking action potentials of the two different neurons (Tolento & Bendirian. 2019).
Tolento, J., & Bedirian, R. (2019).
