The cultural and historical context is really important because it puts you in the position of the characters in the book or story, and gives you a thought of how it might feel for them in a specific tima and culture.
2. It is important to know and try to understand the context of a text, to be able to put yourself in some one else's position and understand why they think and act like they do.
3. Texts differ a lot, but I often feel like I get a good understanding of the culture that is described in a text. When I read, I tend to try to feel like the person I am reading about, and then I feel like I can understand the situation and culture.
4. The meaning and impact of a text changes a lot throughout the story. In most books, the characters develop a lot from what is happeing to them during the story, and then the theme or meaning of the book changes alongside the character.

Stories are a way to get people to think about scenarios of alternative realities, and they help us to evaluate which decisions to make in similar scenarios.

3. While reading Lord of the Flies I realized how blind one can get from what is happening in the moment. The boys minds became extremely affected by living on a deserted island and that reminded me of how blind I can be sometimes. Not everything that is happening has an impact on the outcome of your life, most of it does not. 
4. Nowadays, stories are used in educational settings to get people interested in for example history. If a historical event is transferred into an interesting story that people can somehow relate to, they will most likely get interested in the original story.
