Irina and myself decided our group name - ''Zelda''.

After that we have established rules for teamwork.

Group members: Michal, Irina, Mariia, Izaiah.

Rules:

• Listen to others opinions

• Decide everything together

• Everyone has their roles and tasks

• To do deadlines/ create a timeline

To have better communication I have created a'' WhatsApp" group on 29/10/24.

Plan:

1. Contact one of the organisations.

2. Organise a meeting or different activity such as visit.

3. Organise fundraising event or make a donation.

All members must be present at the event to oversee their respective responsibilities.

Michal

• Task: Designing and preparing pictures for the event.

• Create visual materials to showcase the activities and the spirit of the volunteering day. Ensure the designs are clear, engaging and professional. Also to make a donation after the event.

Mariia

• Task: Preparing prizes for the quiz.

• Gather and organise prizes to distribute to quiz winners.

Irina

• Task: Preparing questions for the quiz.

• Create diverse and challenging quiz questions that align with the event’s theme. Questions should be clear and well-organized.

Izaiah

• Task: Print and cut quiz questions.

• Ensure all questions are printed, cut, and prepare for distribution during the quiz. Maintain neatness and accuracy.

I have learned that working in a team could bring different challenges that could be resolved through effective communication. By identifying individual strengths in the team, we could share responsibilities effectively to achieve the main aim.

 To begin with we have not identified the roles in our team and we did not have a written plan with the timeframe which resulted in not completing tasks on time. We have been making decisions as we went through the project.

What we could do better:

·      Improve Time Management: Ensure tasks are divided into smaller, achievable milestones to avoid last-minute rushes.

·      Better Communication: Use clearer channels for updates and ensure transparency across all levels of the project.

·      Monitor Progress: Regularly review goals and adjust as needed to stay on track.

To contribute to the project:

·      I created name of the Groupe “ZELDA’’ and ‘’What’s up’’ Group.

·      I contacted Volunteering organizations and informed others about it. I was active during our online conversations with the organizations.

·       I volunteered for one of the organizations (SWLT).

·      For the Thrive event I created our board, including design of the posters for quick quiz and day of live in volunteering.

·      I’ve made donation to Scottish Wild Trust after our campaign on the Thrive event.

·      I feel that during this project I have tried to encourage others to share and express their own ideas and supported them to take the ownership of their own responsibilities within the team.
