What strikes me the most is how happy they are to do certain things and then how their happiness can go away very quick.
3.) I think the connection between the song and the video is that they both show how you get very when doing different things and you happiness can go away quick after you have nothing to do anymore. This connects to the advertisements we did last week because the advertisement are putting a smile on peoples face and making the product seem like they will make you very happy but in reality it will only make you happy for a short time.

1)This song is very powerful and it has so many meanings behind it. One way it stood out to me is the last part to a verse where it explains faking a smile. Some might say "fake it until you make it" but when it comes to happiness, that's not how it works. Happiness comes from the things that you love and love to do. And being with the people you love.
2) What struck me in this video was how the rats always try to fight for the sight of happiness but then they realize that it just bought them nothing. They kept falling for the trap of advertising.
3) The connection between both of them is that they both demonstrate how they think that they work so hard to get the things that they love but really they show how there is more to happiness then money.

3.) Both the song and the video describe false happiness. The singer says multiple times, "Cause' every time you smile it's a fake". This describes how sometimes we think what we have is happiness when we deep down aren't happy. It shows this in the rat video after the rat takes "Happiness pills" and becomes cartoony and everything is warm and happy. Momentarily. After about 15 seconds our little rat friend plummets out from the sky back to the real world.
