I have felt that only by having a flexible way of thinking can I integrate my own ideas with more elements to form a more reasonable logic. Only when I have the logic and then express the techniques and pictures will I get a meticulous work.

 

In the way of thinking, I realized the interesting of “ combination” . In the past, I only had single and boring thinking, but now I have learned how to combine and apply related elements, and at the same time I have also learned how things interact. I understand that everything is connected with other, but it is necessary to find the common element that can get relation with each other. After finding common elements, more elements can be combined more divergently, instead of cross-border integration on an empty form. In this stage of work, I realized that the most important thing is to find a way of thinking and expressing that suits me. Only when I am fully adapted to my heart can I have the most ideal work.

 

In the learn of technical expression, I feel that there is nothing more useful than practice. If you just imagine the picture or the actual presentation in your mind, you will not be able to get any inspiration. At any time, as long as I think of it, I will immediately realize my ideas. In this stage of consideration, I used the expression of easy marble, metal making, clay making, collage of various materials, various sounds making and other techniques. Among the technical expressions of these non-traditional illustrations, there are some that are actually used in my own works, and there are also failed attempts. However, whether it is successful or failed technical expression, I knew the corresponding knowledge in the process of trying, and also gave me new inspiration in the process of practice so that I can continue to try new technical expressions. This is a major breakthrough for me who would not dare to try before because of failure.

 

Generally speaking, the first stage of study has brought me more breakthroughs, breaking through the previous single thinking mode and monotonous technique application. These changes gave me a new understanding of illustration and realized that a single mode cannot express my emotions and thoughts completely and perfectly. If I want to get illustrations that please me, it is essential to have a leap and careful thinking, and at the same time I must have the attitude to face failure and the ability to be inspired by failure. In my subsequent studies and research, I need to painting with multi-dimensional thinking and multiple techniques so that I can make more progress. The way to train my mind can be to broaden horizons by learning knowledge other than my major, and brainstorm the elements that are likely to be spliced. After the thinking training, try various visual effects that can be achieved, and express multiple techniques on the same screen at the same time, even if it fails, it does not matter. After all, I can get other inspiration from the failure.
