         <description><![CDATA[<div>I am more of a choice-based teacher rather than a TAB teacher.  Although  I am aware of Studio Habits of Mind, I am not teaching the concept to my kids due to the time constraint.  I would like to learn from others on how to deliver these habits in the most effective and efficient way.  Also,  I would love to learn how to help my autistic students to thrive in the studio setting.  Lastly, I would love to push my boy students to go beyond Fortnite, and Unicorn for my girl students.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Art making (of any kind) is a combination of ideation, planning, manipulation of materials, learning of technques through lessons, experience, or both, problem solving, and revision. It is complex process and one of our jobs as elementary art teachers is to help both our students and our school communities understand the see those processes within the act of making art. It is somewhat complicated by the intuitive nature of young children making things. We can see the processes but for them it feels like it just happens. I look forward to finding better ways to help students, other faculty and administrators, and the larger school community recognize and value the complexity.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I am a TAB teacher within a structure. We do have to projects but mostly student chose their own projects. My admin is generally supportive but I would love for my school community to better understand the value of both art making and the thinking skills and habits we practice everyday. I have started teaching my students explicitly about the studio habits but one lesson a term is about all I can give and while interesting to some they are not integrated enough into our daily work to really stick. I would love to learn how to better notice them everyday and even better teach the kids to notice them in themselves and others.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Randi PunnettTAB is a way of transforming the space of a typical art room into a place where students can freely investigate their ideas. They are supported, encouraged, and challenged to get in there and make something they have been thinking/dreaming about. It is often more about process than products. Teachers often struggle with letting go of the control of a typical teacher  and becoming more of a facilitator/guide. </title>

         <title>Randi PunnettI currently have introduced SHOM, but they are not as integrated as I would like. My school is working on STEM certification and part of that is adopting the Engineering Design Process which has its own set of vocabulary. Ideally, I would like students to know/understand/use the various vocabulary to explain where they are in the process.</title>
