Assessments were open note for me or were project based. I used schoology assessment and wanted to show an example, but I can only add one picture. I tried to make the work more application based rather than just relying on memorization. I did a heredity final project where the students created a pedigree and had to do punnet squares for the crosses. I did it in three parts. I have included part II here. You can see how I used doc hub to mark up their papers and let them fix their mistakes for more points.

For math we used the daily exit tickets provided by the district. I will say that some days this was a bit of a challenge because the space provided wasn't big enough for the kids to show all their work so we had to have them take a picture and upload their picture in a media album as well. On the days when it went well it was a good way for me to see who understood the lesson and who might need a refresher. Otherwise we just looked at our daily google doc where students had to record their thinking for each subject area to keep track with where they were at. We also had a famous Missourian slide show and end of the year slideshow.

I restructured how I gave assignments and ended up putting the material that we were covering onto schoology withing the assignments and assessments options. I used these daily to assess where my students were at and if we needed to spend more time on the concept or if we were ready to move on. I didn't have good class participation during our meeting times, however if we did I would have tied some formative assessments with the students working and me checking their work as we collaborated online.
