With regards to Snapchat, it might be useful to know for what reason / with whom your data lies with. Certain settings on tools such as your location on snapchat ( snapmap )  are important to look at so you can edit who has access within the app.  

     

   In relation to Snapchat, there are currently options to report someone if they are behaving incorrectly and shortlisted options are given for your reasoning. There is also a block section where contact is removed and you cannot be added again. 
 

   

 

  

 

From my learning in this module ,In e-portfolio 1 I learned how to gain greater control of my digital presence through the use of Pinterest . It was relieving knowing there is a place for leisure in which I can save and pin different posts of various topics .Pinterest is known as a great tool for inspiration and gaining perspective , it is a dedicated space for creation exchange ( Edelman, 2022) As I am into art I found it useful to control different topics such as line drawings and watercolour drawing templates. Furthermore, I acquired video publishing and editing skills for Youtube that helped me become a content creator in the online space . This module definitely broadened my horizons in terms of content creation and I feel more confident in this . It is also noted that a great deal of experience can be gained from going further than what you're content with doing normally (Dustin , 2021) . 

 

    With LinkedIn, I have learned how I can dedicate a safe space for my professional presence. Online, it can be hard to know what information is appropriate to share and who should access this information. Strategically, with technological advancements in todays age , applying for jobs and looking for positions has never been easier .It was relieving to know there are spaces for this such as LinkedIn, away from where our personal life and leisure may be posted such as Instagram or Facebook or Pinterest. Following my creation of a LinkedIn account it has further enabled me to organize things better .I know where an exclusive professional online setting is available and I am in control of what information is being made readily available to potential employers .It is also of benefit to employers as the data users upload on LinkedIn is seen to be accurate and legitimate in nature , more so than CVs ( Guillory and Hancock , 2012 ) (van de Ven et al., 2017). I believe LinkedIn is a useful tool that I would recommend to friends and family. 

     

    With knowledge of the 5 rights from this module, this reassures me as an online citizen as online interaction and engagement can bring uncertainty and cause unease as it can reach a large scale and may be unsafe. It is a relief to learn of the rights we as citizens hold in an online world.The right to remove our our content ,the right to know who has our data, the right to safety and support online, as well as financial literacy all hold significance when we enter the technological world. With this tool ,we can feel we have power over our online image and the way we operate online and I will not forget it going forward when talking to those less informed such as older family members /friends.This is extremely important as it has been recorded that 1/5 online citizens are a child and 1/3 internationally, we need to protect young people online (McCurry, 2021).

    

   I found the exercise of rewriting a privacy policy to be particularly engaging and thought provoking as many are not up to date and could do with the input of young people who use the platform more than regularly who may notice certain features need tighter regulation. I was really inspired by this part of e –portfolio 2 as I felt my voice was important and that young peoples voices should be heard and valued online. Going forward in the online world, I hope to be more responsive with feedback in both an online space and college modules as I see the importance of perspectives from those who use interfaces. Hopefully these voices can be heard , giving power to people in online spaces. 

     

 

  Through the use of Piktochart , I was impressed with the array of templates available .They are known to be of great standard , but it is said the free option can have drawbacks on accessibility (Bristol, 2020). I have used Canva in the past and found it harder to find ready made templates. I found that by using Piktochart I was more inspired by the different layouts available and was more motivated to create an infographic. I found both platforms extremely easy to use and I think they are extremely useful for college students and business owners. I feel these platforms really bring ideas to life and are important for visual learners. In my online world ,I like to make a space my own and these platforms really help me express my ideas that I could possibly share in an online space.
