Yes with my knowledge of development ,planning daycare activities becomes easier with a better understanding of the developmental domains ,eg

PHYSICAL, COGNITIVE, EMOTIONAL, SOCIAL AND LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT. These helps me plan more balanced and meaningful activities, that supports all areas of a child’s growth and development

.2. WHY? I’m sure to achieve clearer goals, more variety and learning, through play ,more effective programming and suggestions or proposals .

Q1: Yes, I see that it has been easier to plan activities knowing the different domains.

Social domain

Language domain

Emotional domain

Physical domain

Cognitive domain

Because then we know what/where each child is at, or which domain/activity they enjoy more. What they are good at or what they are not good at, so then we can split our group into groups that way each child enjoys what they are doing. Also for us, as teachers, we will understand more of each developmental domain to even out our daily activities.

Caryn

It helps me choose activities that are more useful.I can make sure that each activity helps them develop what they need.

Q2:The most challenging domain to include is the social-emotional domains because children don’t all learn these skills at the same time.

Vanissa
