In life, if you don't want go downhill or sink in this case, you need to figure out how to stay up or swim by being motivated so you can accomplish victories and be successful. This goes for jobs, relationships, and even just your overall happiness. Do things that make you happy, but also work hard. Rex tries so hard to make the life they have seem better than everyone else's as well as different and special when in reality him and his wife are neglecting their children by not having food, not letting them go to school for a while, not having one true stable home, and more.
