As evidenced in my title, my name is Gretchen Hill. I am from a small town in Southeast Missouri. I am currently working as a 7-12 counselor and intervention coordinator at Viburnum High School, another small town about an hour north of my home. I will start my 15th year in public education and 7th year as a counselor this fall. Prior to starting my work as a counselor, I taught JH/HS social studies. I also currently work as an adjunct faculty member at Mineral Area College in the Social Science Department. As a college student, I utilize technology to complete research and assignments. My coworkers and I live and die by Google Drive and its associated apps for collaboration and communication. I also rely extensively on Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for DESE comprehensive data downloads and core data uploads.
