Workers who had been in the business for a long time and unemployed received money so they could either retire or get a job. I think this act was a very responsible use of federal funding because it is still very successful even to this day. The government provided just enough money for people to become successful, which was very responsible money funding.

Some people would criticize this act people the government had to place a tax on employers in order to fund the unemployed. Another reason why people would be critical of this act is because some groups were excluded from the retirement plan.
