How To Regrow Scraps

How do you regrow food scraps? To regrow most food scraps including celery you need the end part of the vegetable where the roots grow, and some water, as well as natural light. Make sure to change the water every few days or else it will become gross and the bottom of the stalk would become soggy. Make sure the stalk is slightly elevated yet still submerged in the water.

What Do I With It Now?

With your freshly regenerated celery stalk you can make many new things. Some recipes you can make include salads, juices, and even childhood classics like ants on a log. The best way to cut you celery is to cut only the stalk part and then once again regrow the bottom part. Now you have a regenerative food source. This also works with other things such as spring onions, lettuce, potatoes, and many more.

Recipe for Juice:
1/2 lemon
2 celery stalks
1 small apple
10 oz
As much honey as you'd like
Blend until done and strain twice

How Did You Feel About This Experiment?

I think the most interesting part of this experiments is how you can regrow almost any vegetable just from the scrap instead of having to buy new ones. I fin this interesting because this can be useful information for people on a lower budget who can’t afford to constantly buy things. This is also helpful for people in apartments that cannot have their own garden in a backyard. Something I learned from this project is that there is a limited amount of times that you can regrow the celery but still you can regrow it’s a multitude of times. Something I think that I could do better with in the future is change the water more frequently because if you don’t it gets gross pretty fast. Also another is make sure the so
It is consistently sunny because most of the time it was but sometimes stuff would block out the sunlight.

How Do Plants Use Photosynthesis?

Plants use the process of photosynthesis to feed themselves. Their leaves trap light energy and use that energy to change water and carbon dioxide into glucose, their food. Through this process, the plants use some of the carbon molecules to respirate. As well as that more leftover carbon molecules are used to make structures such as leaves and stems. So plants gain their mass by using leftover carbon molecules.
