         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Philippines has denounced the recent assaults in Doha as a serious defiance of international law and the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity under the United Nations Charter.</p><p><br/></p><p>In a statement released on Wednesday, September 10, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said the Philippine Embassy in Doha is actively assessing the situation and urges Filipinos in Qatar to stay calm and follow official advice.</p><p><br/></p><p>For the sake of Filipinos’ welfare, the country reaffirmed its call for a lasting ceasefire in Gaza and reiterated the importance of safeguarding civilians while pursuing lasting peace in the Middle East.</p><p><br/></p><p>There have been no reported Filipino casualties up to date.</p>]]></description>
