Mongolia is located between China and Russia. Its capital is Ulan Bator (Ulaanbaatar). The official language of this parliamentary republic is Mongolian and its currency is Tugrik. Its landscapes are dominated by the Gobi Desert, grasslands and steppes. More than half of the population lives in the capital and its periphery. The other half is nomadic.

Mongolian culture is very rich. Some of his features stand out especially in:

-Music and Singing: Music is a very important element in Mongolian daily life. The diphonic chant, Khöömi, exerts a certain fascination, as the singer produces two different sounds simultaneously: nasal resonance and vocal cord effects are superimposed. The singers are inspired by the sounds of nature.
-The national holiday Naadam: With this holiday the independence of Mongolia is celebrated. It happens every July 11 and 12. The three most important Mongolian sports are represented: wrestling, archery and horse racing.

Tradition and modernity go hand in hand in one of the countries with the most personality on the Asian continent. Japan, which until the middle of the 19th century closed its borders to advances coming from the West, finally opened up to the world after the threat from the United States to attack its coasts if it did not come out of isolation. From here on, the country abandoned the feudal system and began a modernization process that has made it one of the most technologically advanced states. Even so, this rapid transformation has not led to the loss of an ancient culture that is still very present in Japanese society.

Temples, Zen gardens lost between mountains and Shinto shrines show the spirituality that has always characterized the Japanese and are the best example for the visitor to commune with the local population. On the other hand, the big cities expose the somewhat reckless frenzy in which Japanese society is immersed. Whoever decides to stroll through its streets will find small Japanese fast food restaurants, will pass young people dressed as manga characters and, with a bit of luck, will even be able to spot geishas hastily turning a corner down the street.

Destination Taiwan, officially the Republic of China (ROC), a largely mountainous island nation in East Asia, formerly known as Formosa.

Taiwan is located north of the Philipines and the South China Sea, about 180 km off the southeastern coast of China, separated from the mainland by the Taiwan Strait. The island shares maritime borders with China, Japan, and the Philippines.

The combination of tradition and modernity - which is perfectly seen in neo-punk-style youths practicing rites in the temples - is the basis for a society in constant evolution. And it is that, for an island with a past as turbulent as this one, the future is the one that offers the opportunity to develop and advance. At the same time, Taiwanese society is very clear that culture, knowledge and traditions must be preserved and practiced.

Mongolia has a high elevation, with a cold and dry climate. It has an extreme continental climate with long, cold winters and short summers, during which most precipitation falls. Average temperatures over most of the country are below freezing from November through March and are above freezing in April and October. Mongolia's weather is characterized by extreme variability and short-term unpredictability in the summer, and the multiyear averages conceal wide variations in precipitation, dates of frosts, and occurrences of blizzards and spring dust storms.

The best time to go to Mongolia is from May to October.

Destination China, country of East Asia. It is the largest of all Asian countries and has the largest population of any country in the world. Occupying nearly the entire East Asian landmass, it covers approximately one-fourteenth of the land area of Earth. Among the major countries of the world, China is surpassed in area by only Russia and Canada, and it is almost as large as the whole of Europe.

OFFICIAL NAME
Zhonghua Renmin Gongheguo (People’s Republic of China)

Within China’s boundaries exists a highly diverse and complex country. Its topography encompasses the highest and one of the lowest places on Earth, and its relief varies from nearly impenetrable mountainous terrain to vast coastal lowlands.

The diversity of both China’s relief and its climate has resulted in one of the world’s widest arrays of ecological niches, and these niches have been filled by a vast number of plant and animal species. Indeed, practically all types of Northern Hemisphere plants, except those of the polar tundra, are found in China, and, despite the continuous inroads of humans over the millennia, China still is home to some of the world’s most exotic animals.

CLIMATE

Its climate ranges from extremely dry, desertlike conditions in the northwest to tropical monsoon in the southeast, and China has the greatest contrast in temperature between its northern and southern borders of any country in the world.

The best time to visit China is during spring or autumn. The weather tends to be warm and dry during these periods, in contrast to the bitterly cold winters and hot, humid summers experienced in much of the country.

The first runs from February to April and sees beautiful spring blossoms and cool temperatures. The autumn season from September to October brings temperate weather and wonderfully colourful foliage.

North Korea - (Democratic People's Republic of Korea)

Destination North Korea, a country in eastern Asia that occupies the northern part of the Korean peninsula which is located south of mainland China, between the Sea of Japan (East Sea) in the east, Korea Bay and Yellow Sea in west (is bordered by China in north, and it has a 18 km long border with Russia in north east).

The country is almost completely covered by a series of north-south mountain ranges separated by narrow valleys. The Yalu River forms part of the northern border with Manchuria.

The Korean peninsula is one of the most ethnically homogeneous regions in the world. The North Korean population, which has been largely isolated since 1945, is almost entirely Korean; a tiny number of Chinese constitute the only other significant ethnic group. All Koreans speak the Korean language, whose relationship to other languages is disputed; it may be related to Japanese or languages of the Altaic group, and it contains many Chinese loanwords.

Most of the rural population inhabits the eastern and western coastal lowlands and river-valley plains. The inland areas of Chagang and Yanggang provinces are sparsely settled because of the lack of arable land and the cold climate, which does not permit the cultivation of rice.

Religion

Historically, the way of life and the value system of Koreans were based fundamentally on Confucian thought. To a lesser extent, Buddhism was also important. Roman Catholic and Protestant missionaries arrived in the 18th and 19th centuries, respectively.

The communist regime has constitutionally confirmed freedom of religion but does not practice it.

Climate
North Korea has a generally cool continental climate. The winter season, from December to March, is long and cold (-7/-23 ºC). The summer, from June to september, is warm (20/43 ºC).

For hiking North Korea's breathtaking scenery, late October cannot be beaten. If planning a comprehensive tour into rural areas, it's best aligned between early April and early June or mid-September and early November.

First and foremost, if you’re a citizen of the United States, South Korea or Malaysia, you cannot currently visit North Korea. At all. For the rest of us, the only way to visit North Korea is with a registered and approved tour operator providing state-approved trips. You cannot travel solo to North Korea.

Tourism in North Korea is unlike anything you will have experienced anywhere else in the world. Your every movement is controlled, watched and carefully planned by the Government. Most, if not all tours, are ultimately run by the Korean International Travel Company and it will be their guides who show you around.

South Korea, country in East Asia. It occupies the southern portion of the Korean peninsula. The country is bordered by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) to the north, the East Sea (Sea of Japan) to the east, the East China Sea to the south, and the Yellow Sea to the west.

The capital is Seoul (Sŏul).

Climate

The greatest influence on the climate of the Korean peninsula is its proximity to the main Asian landmass. This produces the marked summer-winter temperature extremes of a continental climate while also establishing the northeast Asian monsoons (seasonal winds) that affect precipitation patterns. The annual range of temperature is greater in the north and in interior regions of the peninsula than in the south and along the coast, reflecting the relative decline in continental influences in the latter areas.

South Korea’s climate is characterized by a cold, relatively dry winter and a hot, humid summer. The coldest average monthly temperatures in winter drop below freezing except along the southern coast.

The best time to visit South Korea is between March and May if you want to see the vibrant pink of the cherry blossoms in bloom. If you want to see the landscapes come alive as the leaves change in the cooler weathers, then we'd recommend visiting between September and November.

Tourism

Tourism is a fast-growing industry in South Korea, thanks to its many attractions, from the mountainous countryside to its long and spectacular coastline. There are many beaches which are popular with visitors; Jungmun beach at Jeju-do is perfect for waterskiing and windsurfing while Naksan beach is renowned for its beautiful sunrise.

South Korea has 20 national parks which showcase the country's scenery. Sporting activities within these parks include walking and water sports; alternatively visitors can learn about the country's history. Jirisan is the largest national park and the Asiatic black bear can be spotted in its mountainous terrain.

There are many temples, historical sites and palaces around South Korea which are popular with tourists wanting to learn more about the country's history, religion and culture. There are over 900 Buddhist temples on the Korean Peninsula; Bulguksa being the best known. Many of the countries historical monuments have been designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Jogmyo Shrine is over 500 years old and is where the Joseon Dynasty Kings were worshipped. The ceremony is still performed in its original form today.

They mix the traditional and the modern making a flashy culture shock place to visit.

The overall crime rate in South Korea is low.
