There are several themes throughout the book that could be applied to some knowledge-based tasks. For example, you could use this book to compare/contrast types of families. You could also use it to discuss ideas such as loyalty. For skill-based tasks, this book could be used to go over vocabulary and sentence structures. I found it appropriate for both younger and older grades.
