Some teachers would have looked at the situation as the boys being the problem and not themselves. I know of a teacher that has literally taught the same way for years. She has not changed her teaching style at all and with all due respect, it's boring. If you didn't look a certain way, if you talked a certain way, or if your family didn't have money, you were talked about a lot. Not every teacher did this but some did.
