Well, I think that they packed a First aid kit, water, food but because they said that there was only enough for 27 more days but that was when they got up there, I also think that they took, spare clothes and a hat.

I think the explorers took sleeping bags food water cooking equipment and tents a shot gun maybe important things and clothes pictures a camera pens and pencils to draw and map the.

 area they probably brought a horse or camel with them to carry all the equipment
