         <description><![CDATA[<div>Stories of gold have been found in the rocky mountains.Pikes peak was named after Zebulon Pike in 1806 because he climbed half of the mountain.In 1807 Zebulon pike met James Purcell and they found gold in what is now called pikes peak.The discovery of gold in 1858-1859 drew thousands of people to Colorado.Current cities of Denver, Boulder, Black hawk, Breckenridge and Central City were made during the gold rush.When people were getting close to Colorado they could see Pikes Peak&nbsp; and know that they were close.People from the East traveled to Colorado because of money problems and to start a new life</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
