A good strategy I use is to play games where they have to stand up and move as to energize the class and have them practice and/ or review the grammar and the vocabulary so that they don't get bored and are always alert.

Don’t give points in competition with kids so they dont feel like they lost and doesn't create problems.

In my case, I like to talk with my students about the rules since day one and everyday we try to recall them when there is an opportunity. Also, I like to have cues to remember students the classroom vocabulary they need to use when need it.
