gewone zin: I have got blue hair.

staat er GEEN got in de zin, dan maak je een ontkenning met don't (I, you, we, they) of doesn't (he, she, it).
gewone zin: I have blue hair.
ontkennend: I don't have blue hair.

Dit zijn dus altijd 3 stappen!

vraagzin:
nog steeds de 3 stappen, alleen staat nu to be helemaal vooraan in de zin.

- I cannot read maps very well 
-  We can’t cross here. 

2.       Om te zeggen dat (iemand) iets zou kunnen, gebruik je het hulpwerkwoord could. 
-  We could go to the tourist office to get a map 
-  We could take the Tube to the Houses of Parliament 

3.       Als je wilt vragen of (iemand) iets kan, zet je can vooraan in de zin. De rest van de zin blijft hetzelfde. 
-  Can you tell me how to get to the Houses of Parliament? 
-  Can you point it out of the map?
 
4.       Het is beleefder om could te gebruiken. 
- Could you tell me the way Oxford Street? 
-  Could you repeat that please?
