Women's suffrage has always been a constant thing being fought for over the years. Back then women didn't have the rights to vote and were forced to leave it for the men only. The women found this unfair because they are also living in this country and should have a say in the votes. This lead to a movement starting that basically was announcing that women deserve the same rights as men and they need to be treated equally. This stance took "nearly 100 years to win that right" (History.com, August 2020, para 1). These women had to put up one of the biggest fights to win the rights they deserve. but in 1920 the 19 amendment was declared saying that women just like men have the right to vote.

History.com Editors. Women's Suffrage. 29 Oct. 2009, www.history.com/topics/womens-history/the-fight-for-womens-suffrage.

The great depression was a vary rough point in history. At this time in 1929 the stock market ended up crashing as a result of this crash it turned people to go into a panic unknowing of what to do or what was going to happen. The crashing also resorted too many companies having to lay off their employees to to the point where "15 million Americans were unemployed and nearly half the country's banks had failed"(History.com, Feb 28 2020, para 1). The stock market crashed because they began selling over priced shares in large amounts and instead of allowing for them to recover they kept selling shares resulting for them to be worthless, this triggered for the stock market to crash as the result. Shortly after the stock market crashed the people were also hit with a dust bowl which is a huge dust cloud caused for serious drought and lead to the inability to farm because of the bad conditions.

History.com Editors. “Great Depression History.” History.com, A&E Television Networks, 29 Oct. 2009, www.history.com/topics/great-depression/great-depression-history.

The 18th amendment was created because in 1919 the drunkenness of people became a threat to the nation. This 18th amendment was saying that it prohibits people making, transporting, and selling alcohol. In the year 1933 they saw how difficult and ineffective this amendment was which lead to them to ratify it in "which repealed prohibition" (History.com, September 8th 2020, para 1). After they ratified the prohibition they made it to a local level whether they want to allow alcohol or what their guidelines for it would be.

History.com Editors. “18th And 21st Amendments.” History.com, A&E Television Networks, 4 Feb. 2010, www.history.com/topics/united-states-constitution/18th-and-21st-amendments.
