The tool is used for wind speed, temperature and humidity. The Dropsonde is very useful because it tells the Hurricane hunters to worn towns and cities the hurricane is heading their way. For example, In 2002 a hurricane named Lili was heading towards New Orleans.
The Hurricane Hunters dropped a Dropsonde to get information.
When they got the information they needed, they warned the city of New Orleans so all the citizens could go to a safer place.

What is the difference between the eyewall of a hurricane and eye of a hurricane?
Answer
A hurricane's eyewall is different from the eye because the eyewall the eyewall is the part of the hurricane with the strongest winds. The eye is the part of the hurricane with the calmest wind and everything is still. Even though the two are right next to each other they are the complete opposite.

A dropsonde is a tool that looks like a cylinder. The dropsonde helps pick up the humidity,temperature,and wind speed. This is how it helps Hurricane hunters! The dropsonde is a very important tool for hurricane hunters it can save lives!

  For  example a hurricane that is destructive enough  to kill people, is Katrina. The destructive storm is only one of many hurricanes.

Why are hurricanes so dangerous?
A hurricane can be very dangerous because they can flood, damage, and destroy houses, cars and more. For example; A category 1 have winds up to 74-95 miles per hour, but a category 5 ( is much more dangerous) and winds can be over 155 miles per hour! Also hurricanes are known to be the most destructive storms.
