3-5 Read a historical fiction book aloud with the class and have them independently draw two historic scenarios from the book. Share them with the class.

Let students research the historical events for 1-2 days before reading the book aloud. Students create a short presentation on what the history is about.

6-8 Have students create a comic strip using scenes from a book they chose to read about a historical event. Share them with the class. 

Have students create poetry that reflects the historical time period they are learning about.
