We are looking for an applicant with creativity, computer skill, detail oriented, as well as a good technical understanding of the production process for clothing, accessories, or footwear. Experience working with GAP, M&S, Land's End, Dilladrd's, Burberry would be an added advantage.

A background in fashion design study can allow one to understand the fashion production process in a better way and also understand clients’ preferences. Besides, a portfolio can be a pretty good advantage, this demonstrates their styles and abilities.

Almost all employers will seek applicants with greater experience. Fashion often gain their experience through internships or by working as an assistant designer.

There are some key qualities of a fashion designer. First, fashion designers have to have artistic ability because they have to sketch their initial design ideas, which are used later to create prototypes. They must be able to express their vision for the design through illustration. The second is creativity. Fashion designers work with a variety of fabrics, shapes, and colors. The final is their communication skill. Fashion designers often work in teams throughout the design process and therefore must be effective in communicating with their members.

After an internship at Yen My garment company, I have access to working conditions at the company. I find that some problems such as finding a trash bin, looking for needed materials such as needles or ribbons, and backache caused loss of time and affected the working process of workers. I think the company should fix these problems by:

First, on the matter of finding a trash bin, we should provide a trash bin or a rubbish bag at each sewing table for worker. Second, on the matter of looking for needed materials such as needles or ribbons, workers need a small drawer next to the machine table that can hold needles, scissors, buttons, and other materials related to the sewing machine. Finally, it’s backache, we should provide chairs with backrest and footrest which can make to workers feel comfortable for sitting all day. If the company can improve the above, I believe that the company's productivity will be enhanced and workers' time will be maximized.

Hello, I am a salesman sample. I have just received an actual sample of the shirt. In general speaking, the sample look fine but it has several errors. First, I would like the collar to be straight. You can fix it again. About workmanship, I see that the shell looks quite similar to the spec sheet. However, The chest pocket is on the right side instead of on the left. The next, in the specs, it’s 6 buttons but in an actual sample are only 5 buttons. Add one button below. Following data on the data table, the actual sample quite fits the model. Nevertheless, the label could be added to attach 4 inches below the collar. Secondly, about tape measurements. In the specs, the cuff height is 6” but in an actual sample is 5”. The cuff height could be let out by a half inch. With the sleeve length, it’s too short. In the spec sheet, the sleeve length is 63.7” and in an actual sample it’s 60.3”.Therefore, the sleeve length could be let down by 3”. In addition, the color of the specs may be lighter than the actual sample. It needs to be adjusted again. These are all comments for this sample. I hope you can fix it as soon as possible. I look forward to receiving the actual sample after accomplished.

I’m a designer for MCB company. I have received the actual sample garment and see that there is one difference between the spec sheet sketch and the actual sample. The overall sample looks good. However, there are still some details that do not match the spec sheet requirements.

Firstly, the actual sample does not have the white letters on a black label attached 1” below the collar stand.

Secondly, the spec sheet requires that the neck width from the highest point of the shoulder (HPS) to another HPS is 5 5/8” but in an actual sample it is 8”. Therefore, you should adjust again to take it in 2 2/3’’. In the spec sheet, the pocket is on the left of the garment with 6’’depth and 4’’width instead of on the right.

Thirdly, the armhole straight as required in the spec sheet is 8 3/8’’ long but in the actual sample, the length is 8’’. It could be let out by 3/8''. In the spec sheet, the cuff opening is 4’’ instead of 6’’, so the cuff could be let the cuff opening of the sample in 2’’

Next, the waist in the spec sheet is 15 1/2'' but it's actually 24’’ as I have measured on the sample, you could fix it to take it in 8 1/2''.

Finally, the bottom opening in the spec sheet is 17'' but it actually measured 25”, it could be take in 8''.

I have given some comments on the prototype of the shirt and also some suggestions to revise it. I hope that you will soonly revise the sample and give us back on next day
