I work at McDonalds, and I have to communicate Clearly with customers to make sure they get everything they need or if there's any problems.

I also have used communication during collage as I have met new people and teachers, at times this can be difficult as I didn't know anybody on this course but now, I have met lots of new people.

During the induction day in groups, we had to complete different challenges. For example, for the first activity we all had to stand on benches, and all get to the opposite side you were on without falling off the bench. this included moving past each other closely. This used teamwork as we all had to talk to figure out how we were going to go about the challenge and complete it.

teamwork has been present when we were given an assignment in citizenship and diversity where we had to present a presentation in groups of 3. To do this you had to make the presentation and all input in it, so it wasn't just one person doing all the work. Me, Alex, Lewis was in a group together and we all went home and researched different thing and put it all together then created the PowerPoint. after it was all done, we went through it in a group to figure out who was going to talk about what.

In CSI we used teamwork when in a group trying to figure out who committed a crime. we had to talk, and all give our opinion. we all used very good team work to complete this task. If we were to do this again i think we should have worked in group instead of a class.

the use of a water bottle at collage

Water bottles are used to keep everyone hydrated and to drink out of. water bottles are a big danger to the planet as they are plastic. a reusable water bottle is better than a normal one as they last longer and you can use them more than once

Getting bus to & from college instead of car

Travelling by public transport instead of car is better for the environment, as it reduces pollution and clearer skies. Also you don't have to worry about finding a parking space and is cheaper than paying for fuel.

Use of a reusable bag for shopping

with one reusable bag, you could avoid serval disposable bags every year and reduce your carbon footprint. if you reuse shopping bags, you don't have to worry about recycling plastic bags. as these plastic bags are getting caught in machinery, they could show down the recycling process in some facilities.

In last years induction we had to do an obstacle on groups of 3, one person was blindfolded and the other 2 was leading the blindfolded person to make sure they got round the obstacle. I think I showed good leadership whilst leading the blindfolded person round the obstacle. Next time I think I could have done the obstacle better and listened the to leader.

part time job

my part time job is been a kitchen assistant in a care home 8-6. my role in this job is to make sure everyone in the care home has everything they need. I make sure they have every meal of the day, and then wash up there pots ready for the next meal/day. I also make sure the chef has all the food prep needed for the day or the next day. I think that my positives in this job is my organisation within all my work and jobs. I think may pace with something in this Jon could be improved.

2nd part time job

I also work at a play centre half of the week. my role in this job varies everyday. this varies from, serving customers, greeting customers at reception, serving food, greeting parties, hosting parties. I think that my pace within this job and my customer service is great. something to improve could be getting more involved with the people I work with.

trying new foods on holiday, when on holiday in different countries the food is different in many places. I went to France and tried a snail, and frog legs. in my opinion they were not very nice but I think it is very interesting how other countries eat different things.

in July I went to a festival called tramlines, the music in this festival was worldwide, this showcased traditional art forms from round the world. music styles and rhythms reflect cultural diversity and serve as a universal form of expression.

I have visited historical landmarks and museums to learn about certain societies heritage and history. I found this very interesting to see how things have developed over the years in different counties and to see how things were like in the past.

in college we had a food tasting day in zest. this contained lots of different foods from all over the world from different countries. this was nice to taste foods from different places.
