The Constitution should include a Bill of Rights to protect the individual rights of the people. This includes freedom of religion and press, the right to a speedy trial, protection against self-incrimination, and the right to confront accusers.

The people should have influence but not direct control over results; therefore, representation is the best strategy. This ensures control of politics and fair representation for all people. For these reasons, electing representatives is the most effective way to give ordinary people a voice in the political process. An example of this is the Electoral College. In addition, votes by population allow for a more fair representation, with each person’s vote counting equally.
