The poem "if",by Rudyard Kipling deals with life's challenges and how to deal with them. The poet is a father defining for his son,the qualities of a good man.He setting the parameters or boundaries for his son and giving him a goal to achieve. There,i think the advice given by the poet applies to both genders. There are several advices taught in the poem, but the one advice that strikes for both genders including myself is to be brave and willing to take risks. This is potrayed in the line "If you can make one heap of all your winnings and risk it on one turn of pitch and toss".

Bravery or willing to take risks is important in life because i need it for facing my fears and overcome obstacles in my life. When i am brave i begin to have faith in myself and also more comfort in participating in new ways of living. It keeps myself in the game so to speak which knowing what is important to myself which are knowing your strengths and learning to evaluate situations. For example, when i was in school i would be afraid to participate cooking competition that offered by my teacher. This is because i think i am not good enough to compete with other skilled participants.I gathered all my bravery in myself that i can do my best in the competition. Therefore,I practiced my cooking skills and watching culinary video tutorials with the help of internet that produced so many ideas.I managed to won second place out of ten pairs of participants for the cooking competition.

In conclusion,by following the poet's advice of bravery and willing to take risks, facing fears in life can help myself succeed in life. Winning and failure is also the part of the successful which make myself can be a respected human being.

LIRA 2 PRACTICE ( NIK AMANINA NAJWA BT NIK HARIS-AS1181C1)

The poem "IF" , by Rudyard Kipling teaches many lessons about life. The poet is giving advice to his son on what to do and not to do when facing the challenges in life in order to become a good and wise person. I think, this advice is not only for boys, bur it also meant for the girls to overcome the obstacles in their life. This is potrayed in the poem, "If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you".

Self-belief is the most important aspect in our life that can lead us to success. If we do not trust ourself, we could not do anything and achieve anything in our life. Then, without self-belief, we know that we can become demoralized or disheartened person. It could not help us to achieve our dreams and to get what we want.

For example, when I was in school, I weak in Mathematics and my teachers and my friends gave-up on me. Because of that, it motivated me to do more exercise on Mathematics because I want to prove that I can do it like the others students. Finally, I managed to score excellent results for Mathematics in SPM. I was really grateful that I not easily give up on that time because it will make my dreams not achievable.

In conclusion, by following the poet's advice of trusting ourself, it can help us to be a successful person in order to get a colourful future and what is more, to be a useful people like motivation to the other people so that they not give up easily in their life.

The poem "If", by Rudyard Kipling teaches many lessons about life. The poet is giving advice to his son on what to do and not do when he is facing the many challanges in life so that by facing all the challanges well he can become a good and wise person. In my opinion, I don't think the advice given is meant only for boys, but girls as well can use the advice given because girls' also a human being. Girls also have feelings, ups and downs in life. The diferences are only the gender. There are several advices taught in thh poem but one advice that can be use for both genders including myself is "If you can dream, not make your dream master". Its meaning are it is good to think, but do not just think and not put those thoughts into action.

Turning your dream into reality is one of the kind of thing that I love to do, including scoring my addmaths paper for my SPM. At first, I always heard that addmaths is not easy to score. Students kept on failing that paper. When I entered form 4, I took addmaths subject. At first, yes. I always failed my paper during examination. My dreams are to at least pass that paper. Long story short, there's like 3 months left before SPM. I work my ass off for this one subject. I did a lot of exercise not only the one given by my teacher. I bought a lot of exercise book to strenghten my skills. I also met my teacher during my freetime, met up with my friends who is excellent at addmaths. I literally answered addmaths question everyday. Then, during spm, I answered the paper with ease. After a few months waiting, the result for SPM is finally out. I managed to get C+ for my addmaths paper.

In conclusion, by following the poet's advice of "If you can dream, make your dream master". I believe it can turn everyone's dream into reality if you work hard.

The poem “IF” written by Rudyard Kipling. The poet is giving some advice to his son about life. The poet told his son what to do and not to do when he is facing many challenges in life so that by facing all the challenges well, he can become a good and wise person. Even though the poet addressing to his son, and there no mention of daughter anywhere in the poem that’s doesn’t mean the advice were only for boys. There are several lesson or advice in the poem that can be related to girls to such as being confident about the decision they make and take responsibility for it. This is portrayed in the line “If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you”.

Both confidence and taking responsibility is important in life aspect because it can lead you to success, then you are trying to trust yourself and overcome the failures that you might face in life. Without confidence you will never overcome your fears and come to regard yourself as a failure.

As for example that something happened to myself and that change me is when I get scared whenever I got called for answer a question that I don’t even know how to answer it or getting scared when to talk in front of many people, I felt like I want to burst into tears on the spot because of my stage fright but I overcome it with the advice that my mother told me “don’t think about what other might think of you, just do your best and try hard to the fullest for your own success” so I kept the advice in my head and I put all my effort and my courage to come front my fear with being more open minded.

In conclusion, not only the poem or the advice were meant for boys it also can be dedicated to girls too, so that they all can face their biggest challenge in their life and so that they can become a good and wise person for the future.
