Re-use paper

When you print things, print them double sided. Or if you have loads of one-sided sheets of paper, don't just throw them in the bin. Use them as post-it notes or reminders.

Turn off the Lights

I know, I know... this is an obvious one. But there's still a lot of people just leaving lights on when they exit a room. TURN THEM OFF PLEASE.

Also, use LEDs instead of incandescent bulbs. They're only a couple euros more expensive, and they'll save you waayyy more after a while on your electricity bill.

Use things like Freecycle instead of throwing away stuff.

Re-use clothes

Use hand-me-downs or second-hand shops. The clothing industry is the second largest cause of pollution and is estimated to produce 92 million tons of waste every year.

Stop Using Plastic

Walk to the shops. Buy less processed food.

Buying a nice warm blanket is better than paying for a few minutes of heating.

Sure LED bulbs are a bit more expensive. But for a tenner? It's not that expensive. They will save you loads of money on your electricity bill after a while. Next time you're getting a new lamp for your desk, next time you need a new light in your kitchen.

Stop leaving your laptop plugged in.

Don't. Just don't. As well as the fact that most laptops will continue to slurp up electricity if you don't fully shut it down, (Be honest, you probably don't) Being 100% is bad for it's battery. The further away from 50%, the worse. Try stick around 60%, but anything greater than 80% is not good.
