First off, thanks to Mr.Alderson and Mrs.Silberman for making this year so good and making getting up and doing English at 8 am bearable. To next years students, make sure you pay attention because they will explain everything you need to know. It may be a little challenging but try to stay on top of your work. If you get behind you could become stressed and the quality of your work may go down. What truly matters is that you try your very best.Just remember it's okay to make mistakes because they help you learn. I hope you all have a great year in this class like I did :) - Carly Girgenti

My advice is to just keep up with all your work so you won't fall to behind in class. Be positive and don't give up & just enjoy the year don't stress too much about it just be calm and stay focused.

This class may be tough to some but as long as you pay attention and take notes you will be fine. Mr. Alderson is a huge help because he makes it easier to understand and helps keep you engaged in the class. Keep track of due dates and make sure to read through the lessons as well to help make this class easier.

My advice would be to participate in class even if you aren't sure you are right. Ask questions because they really help the learning experience. If you are wrong, make sure you understand why you are wrong. Always look to improve yourself and your work. Also, try to have a good attitude towards the class even if it isn't your favorite subject. Lastly, make sure you are getting your assignments in on time because that lessens the stress.

I'd firstly like to thank Mr. A for being the most amazing teacher. He always made class fun, and I feel like that is something essential when it comes to learning. My advice to you- don't overwork your brain and don't leave assignments behind. I know sometimes the assignments may seem daunting, but don't let it get to you. Always have a clean slate when starting a new assignment- drink some tea, listen to your favorite music, and TAKE IT EASY. Don't fall behind on your assignments. I feel like that is one of the worst things you could possibly do. It puts on more mental pressure than necessary. So try your best to follow along with the class and submit assignments on time. In the end, it does benefit you. You get to relax on the weekend and even on a school night (so long as you do the same in your other classes). I wish you all the best of luck this school, the following, and so forth! I can certainly guarantee you that you'll love this class!

Hello everyone! I want you to know that Mr. Alderson is one of the most amazing teachers I've ever had. He always gave the best feedback on every assignment, and he doesn't give too much homework. Make sure you pay attention in class and you participate and stay up-to-date with assignments. Don't be afraid to ask for help, Mr. Alderson is very smart and cares a lot about us. This class is going to be tough at times, it is an honors class after all. As long as you apply your best efforts, reach out to Mr. A when you have questions or need help and participate and stay focused, you are bound to successful in this course. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Mr. Alderson gives fantastic advice and feedback on your assignments, and will help you make adjustments as needed. Try to stay on track with all of your assignments, but you'll get a bit of time occasionally to work on those assignments. Even if you don't know the answer, at least either poll, or try your best, but don't be AFK.

Everyone coming into this class I wish you the best. Mr. Alderson and Ms. Silberman are two great awesome teachers and they will always push/help you to do your best. One thing I learned at the end of this year was that you always want to listen to your teacher or parents and peers. Sometimes you might not want to do the work and give up but trust me that is the worst thing you could do. I also want to say please get work in even if you don't get the best grade!! 0's are big killers and will tank your grade by a lot. But I am not sure what else to say. You will enjoy this class a lot and remember to have fun.

So you've made it to 10th grade, I bet your looking for some great advice from a former 10th grader now that you have made it this far into your high school career. Well the best advice I can give you is to always be on time with just about everything here. And when you feel like your struggling with a certain subject, always ask a teacher for help, they'll help you. Also never give up, its always a good idea to have a positive mindset for when it comes to you and school, it can get a little stressing at times but you got this. Now then sophomore, go out there and ace this grade! :)

Alright, the advice i can give to ya'll is that make sure you ask a lot of questions while in class. Do not be scared to because trust me, you'll need help with these assignments because its a lot of writing sometimes. Also some advice is read while in class even if its as short as a sentence because it'll most likely help you with extra credit.
