  • Since its our first meet of usrah, we did an ice breaking or we called as taaruf' and get to know each other. Our naqibah gave us a pack of tissue and asked us to took it as much as we want and tell information about ourselves based on how many tissue we took. Its great to meet a lot of new people. 

HISTORY OF USRAH:
  • Then we get to know more about what usrah is. Usrah is a family and in usrah we always help each other as the bond between family is important. The first usrah at the time of the Prophet S.A.W is at Al-Arqam bin Abi Al-Arqam's house in Mekah. The components of usrah are naqibah, dai, madu', maudhu' and taaruf.

ADAB IN LEARNING KNOWLEDGE:
  • Next, the topic for our first meet is about adab in learning knowledge. This is some of the few adab that we can follow when in learning knowledge.
  1. clean our heart 
  2. have a good intention to learn 
  3. repeating and review
  4. take notes
  5. try to understand
  6. do the extra reading
  7. prepare for class
  8. have clear goals 
  9. respect each other
  10. consistent 

AL-QURAN AS THE BOOK OF GUIDANCE:
The Quran is Allah S.W.T's most comprehensive revelation to his prophet Muhammad S.A.W. The Quran was revealed in stages over a period of 23 years and contains 114 chapters. The Quran is man's life manual, as well as his guide and direction. We can't interpret the Quran's verses by ourselves. Furthermore, the Quran is the answer to all problems and questions, and we must thoroughly understand it.

A man in a white shirt and black hair approached the Prophet of God and asked, "What is Islam?" and the prophet responded in an Islamic manner, then the man said "Yes." He asks again, "What is Iman?" and the prophet responds in full Iman manner. "Yes," he said once more. The man inquires further, "What is Ihsan?" The prophet responds, "It is as if you can see Allah when you are perform prayer  and Allah is watching you." "Yes," he said once more. After that, he asks, "When is the resurrection day?" The prophet responds, "Only Allah knows," and the man asks, "What is the sign of the day?" People are racing to build tall buildings, according to the prophet.

PILLARS OF ISLAM:
  1. Al-Shahadatayn (The Two Testimonies)
  2. Al-Salah (Prayer)
  3. Al-Zakah (Alms Giving)
  4. Al-Sawm (Fasting)
  5. Al-Hajj (Pigrimage)

PILLARS OF IMAN:
  1. Belief in Allah
  2. Belief in Malaikah
  3. Belief in Kitab
  4. Belief in Rasul
  5. Belief in Yawm Al-Qiyamah 
  6. Belief in Qada' and Qadr

IHSAN:
Ihsan is to worship Allah as if you are seeing Him and although you do not see Him, He sees you. Moreover, Ihsan is the highest level.

SIGNS OF QIYAMAH IN HADITH JIBRIL:
  1. A bondswoman gives birth to her own master
  2. Barefooted, naked, poor shepherds competing one another in the construction of higher buildings

Additional Information:
  • Surah Ali-Imran verse 19: "Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam,....."
  • Surah Al-Ankabut verse 45: Indeed prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing and remembrance of Allah is greater.
  • Surah Al-Baqarah verse 183: "O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous."

It is obligatory as it is our principle life. It is also known as faith in something that we can't inherit from our parents. So how exactly we need to upgrade our Iman? We need to take a very good care of our Salah and when we pronounce our syahadah, our heart must be certain with what we swear.

Believe in Allah:
As Muslims, we must have a strong faith in Allah because he created us and the universe. We must believe that all of our hardship is a sign that Allah loves us. The purpose of Allah's tests is to strengthen our Iman. Furthermore, when one believes in Allah, he will refrain from committing any sins or doing anything that Allah hates.

Believe in Malaikah:
We as Muslim must believe in Malaikah as Allah create them. Malaikah is made from light. It also always obey to Allah's command and never sleep or eat like human

Believe in Kitab:
In our religion, there are four divine books that we must follow and protect, the most important of which is the Quran, which is the most comprehensive revelation revealed by Allah to Prophet Muhammad SAW. We must tadabbur the verses and comprehend the significance of each verse in the Quran. In week 4, we continue to discuss the pillars of Iman, which is faith in Rasul. As Muslims, we must believe in Rasul. Allah mentions 25 Rasul in Al-Quran, and we must believe in all Rasul and prophets of Allah S.W.T. We are not considered Mu'min if we do not believe in only one Rasul. As a result, we must truly believe in all Rasul and Prophet, as Allah sent them to guide us. 

They remind us to repent to Allah and they always want all of his people to believe in Allah, but Allah said in the Quran that they cannot give hidayah to whoever they want, but only Allah can do so.

According to Hadith Jibril, Ihsan is to worship Allah as if you are seeing Him and although you do not see Him, He sees you.

Ihsan comes from the word hasana, which means perfection. Ihsan rounds out one's Islam and Iman. A Muhsin is a Muslim, and a Muslim is a Muhsin. Not every Muslim, however, is a Mu'min and a Muhsin. We must also practise Ihsan with Allah's creation. For example, Islam teaches us how to slaughter animals with Ihsan, such as using a sharp knife and not slaughtering them in front of other animals.

  1. Musyahadah (witness)
  2. Muraqabah (observe)

  • In surah al-isra verse 23 told us to do good to our parents and don't even say 'ugh' to them and always do and say good things to them. Moreover, we must respect and obey all our parent's order as long it not against the pillars of Islam.

ADAB TO OUR NEIGHBOUR
  • As a Muslim we must have a good attitude towards our neighbour even to non-muslim neighbour.  Moreover, neighbour is also like our family.

ADAB AS A STUDENT
  • As a student, we must focus in class and stick to our goals as a student. Furthermore, we need to listen to our lecturers lecture and be responsive in class. 

In conclusion, we must have a good attitude as a Muslim.

  • Always remember Allah
    • A muslim will always remember Allah while Munafik won't remember Him. For example, is prophet. This is because they are the best to live during that period of time and they would remember Allah anywhere and anytime.

    • Prophet Noah
    Prophet Noah had preached for 900 years but no more than 90 person followed him. When he prayed to Allah, He immediately granted his prayer. When someone constantly remember and praise Allah, his prayer will be granted easily by Him.

    • Prophet Ayub
    Prophet Ayub is a millionaire. He had a disease at around the age of 60. His disease was followed by all his crops were destroyed and all his children passed away. His disease also made him gave away all his wealth. For 18 years, he had never prayed to Allah, asking Him to make him better. When he finally prayed, Allah immediately granted his prayers.

    • I gained a lot of new knowledge and get to know a lot more deeper about Islam. Moreover I get to know a lot of new people and get to make new friends.

    • Improvement
    In my opinion, I think to make the usrah more interesting and fun, the usrah should be conduct by different people every meet of usrah. This can give an experience to everyone to conduct an usrah.
